Which Came First? The Chicken or the Egg Cross Back apron

The first thing I ever really started sewing 23 years ago were criss cross aprons. I loved the vintage style and large pockets and ruffles!

This fits a large- xl but really is so flexible it could be a medium too!

This one is an ode to chicken lovers with great big pockets from a fabric designed by Janet W Frisch. She did the eggs and I lover her old fashioned style fabrics.

I’ve also Collaged some mushrooms and bunnies and the lovely blue with illustrated chickens. It’s easy to wash and comfy to wear- some days I throw one on over by long cotton gowns to grab the mail- some days I just stay in my gown even after I shower- I have changed a lot since Covid- I just stay home more and more!!

Anyway- this has a lovely red checked gingham ruffle and some Cathe Holden fabrics too! Sure to be a hit with your chickens or ladies who lunch- you can pair it with jeans and a white t shirt or with bloomers and a slip!
