Fairyland Chair with bells

10” tall and 5” wide

Made from raffia covered wire (vine) with hand stitched green silk velvet seat and heart shaped back- I made this for my doll wall in my sewing studio but there’s not enough space to hang it so I’m offering it here.

I remember making this as I rewatched The Hobbit- it’s one of my comfort movies. I love to daydream of what it would be like to live in a cozy hobbit hole with my grandmothers quilts and tea sets and roaring fires in the fireplace…

I admit to being a bit in love with Martin Freeman and Elijah Wood and wish I could go to New Zealand where they filled the movies… but alas, that’s just a daydream and so all I can do is make my own fairyland magic like this doll chair- it will fit Blythe or Barbie or a sweet troll or could be used as a pin cushion for your collection of spider brooches… or earrings… whatever suits you!
